Slow cookers are great for making hearty winter meals, but can also be used during the summer to make a pot roast or one-pot meal without heating up your kitchen the way an oven does.

In our test labs we give every slow cooker a thorough workout to find the models that:
– perform well on low and high settings without drying out your dinner
– are easiest to use.

We also give you good and bad points for each model and tell you about any special features such as searing, auto-cook functions, timers and whether or not the bowl is dishwasher-safe. Our Recommended list will show you at a glance which models come out on top.
