What will my donation be used for?

Donations help sustain CHOICE as Australia’s independent consumer advocate and testing lab for years to come. They also drive our consumer advocacy campaigns on urgent issues.

As a donor, you’ll receive occasional updates on what your support has helped to achieve.

Is my donation tax deductible?

No, we aren’t registered as an Australian charity, so your donation isn’t tax deductible. But we’re very grateful for your support. We’re an independent, nonprofit organisation and your contribution helps support our work in fighting for better laws and safer products for everyone.

How do ongoing donations work?

When you choose to make a monthly donation online, we’ll bill you on a recurring basis. That means we’ll debit your nominated card each month until you ask us to stop, which you can do anytime.

How do I change or cancel my monthly donations?

You can update or cancel your donation or request a receipt at any time by getting in touch with our Customer service team or calling 1800 069 552.

If you can, let us know at least one (1) day before your donation is due.

Do I have to be a CHOICE member to donate?

No, not at all – anyone is welcome to make a donation. If you want more information about how you can support CHOICE as a member, visit our membership options page.

What payment methods can I use?

You can pay using Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit or debit cards, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

You can also make a one-off donation by transferring funds directly to CHOICE:
