The latest corded and cordless phones are staying relevant by working better with smartphones and enabling family and friends who feel more comfortable talking on a landline phone keep in touch. 

We test and compare each model for:

• ease of use
• sound quality
• battery life.

While answering machine performance is scored, it doesn’t contribute to the CHOICE Expert Rating. This allows direct comparisons to be made between landline phones with and without an answering machine. All models are tested with an extra handset.
