  • Little spice evident.
  • Good fruit distribution although some sultanas very dark which detracts from appearance and can add an unpleasant bitterness and aftertaste when toasted.
  • Big variation across samples. Some brown regular sultanas, some odd dark seedy ones.
  • Mild spice and yeast aroma.
  • Texture looks fluffy but is very dense and doughy. Texture is much better when toasted.
  • Yeasty flavour with only mild spice.
  • Nostalgic aroma of hot cross bun, not too much fruits, not much glaze, texture is soft. It's better toasted.
